I always knew at an early age that I wanted to work in the law enforcement field.  I was raised with my father being a police officer and my grandparents both serving as Sheriff.  My grandmother was the first female Sheriff in the state of Illinois.

I attended Illinois Central College and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Illinois.  I have worked for the Illinois State Police Zone 4 Investigations Unit, Peoria Police Department and have been employed since 2008 by the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.  I served as the Domestic Violence Advocate for 5 years and am currently the Victim Services Coordinator.  I work with victims from their first encounter with law enforcement to the very end of their criminal case.  I also serve as the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office Elderly Service Officer.

I love being involved with many different committees in the community to help support victims.  These include: Peoria Community Against Violence (PCAV), TRIAD, Safe from the Start, Community Crisis Center, Peoria County Fatality Review Team, OSF Trauma Recovery Center.  I also enjoy speaking around the community to different groups regarding Personal Safety/Identity Theft and how to avoid being a victim.
