Peoria County Hosting Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

HHW 2023

The Peoria County Sustainability & Resource Conservation Department will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection event on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Expo Gardens in Peoria. This event is open to all Illinois residents by appointment only.

Registration is available online at www.peoriacounty.org/1018. Residents without Internet access can call (309) 679-6690 to make an appointment Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

“Hazardous waste should not be included with residents’ curbside trash pickup,” said Sustainability Coordinator Becca Cottrell. “These items require special disposal methods.
