The Gerald M. Brookhart Arts in Education Spring Celebration is proud to announce the conclusion of the 2023 season with the Peace Plays in Peoria event. The orchestras, bands, choirs and visual artists of Peoria High School, Manual High School, Richwoods High School, Metamora Township High School, Rolling Meadows Middle School, Liberty Leadership Middle School, Glen Oak Community Center, and Morton Jr. High will join forces to celebrate and offer peace through the arts. These schools are all learning or producing various components of the arts and will come together to play for the first time on May 15, 2023. Mary Jo Papich from the Jazz Educators’ Network will be the guest speaker between performances. Performances will begin at 11:15.

THE MISSION
Our mission is to host a musical and fine arts event to develop connections and relationships with Peoria area music students to promote healing and hope for those impacted by violence in our community.
