When the office is open to the public, appointments will be required for all services. Face masks are also required when inside the building.
Scheduling an appointment will allow both you and our staff to help maintain better social distancing and also help you feel confident that the person you need to see will be available. Staffing levels will be impacted for several months. If your question or issue could easily be handled over the phone or by email, please do so. You may schedule an appointment by calling the office at 672-6915 from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday.
Additionally, the June 11th Zoning Board of Appeals hearing will be held in Room 403 of the Peoria County Courthouse. To encourage social distancing and gatherings with 10 people or less as directed by our Governor, we ask that you help us by considering the following options should you have an objection or consent to contribute:
Please mail comments to our office or email your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 8th at noon in order to help keep the number of people in the room to a minimum. If received by this deadline, your comments will be read into the record. Please include your name(s), address, and the case number in your remarks.
If you feel that you need to attend the hearing in person to make your comments:
- you will need to wear a mask and must maintain 6 feet of social distance from Zoning Board members, staff, and other members of the public.
- Room 402 will be used as a waiting room in the event that there are more than 10 people in attendance. This room will have audio and visual feeds from Room 403 where the hearing is taking place. Masks and social distancing will also be required in this room.
- Please look for signs and/or information directing you where to go once you arrive on the 4th floor. Staff will also be available to help direct you on where to go.
We thank you for your cooperation in this matter. We want to encourage the safety and well being of staff, zoning board members, and the public while also still upholding the importance of the public hearing process during this time.
