A Records/Clerical Reception Clerk must be at least 18 years of age, be a High School Graduate or equivalent, and be able to satisfactorily complete a series of tests. The tests include:
- An oral interview
- A written test
- A background investigation
- A polygraph
- A pre-employment medical exam

Salary & Benefit Information
Starting salary for employees in the Records Division is $29,702.40. The Peoria County Sheriff's Office provides health insurance (80/20) at a reasonable cost to the employee, which includes medical, dental, and vision, as well as a retirement package. Clerks work five days per week, which could included weekends. Clerks may be assigned to 1st or 2nd shift. The current hours of operation are from 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Salary is determined by union contract.
