Peoria County communications staff releases information regarding the County Board and departments reporting to the County Administrator, plus assist elected officials as needed. We facilitate outreach programs, act as administrator for Peoria County's website, and coordinate special events and projects as needed. Communications staff act as internal resources for forward-facing offices and manages or assists with the majority of social media accounts associated with Peoria County offices.
Public Information Officers
Communications staff serve as Public Information Officers during times of emergency. Peoria County is a founding member of the Central Illinois Public Information Officers (CIPIO) committee, and Peoria County is currently the chair of this 5-county regional group that responds to assist with media relations and information dissemination in an emergency.
