Communications

Peoria County communications staff releases information regarding the County Board and departments under the County Administrator, plus assist elected officials as needed. We facilitate outreach programs, including our Emergency Expo, Speakers Bureau, Tours, Citizens Leadership Academy, and Community Classes. Communications staff manages or assists with the majority of social media accounts associated with Peoria County offices.

Public Information Officers

Communications staff serves as Public Information Officers during times of emergency. Peoria County is a founding member of the Central Illinois Public Information Officers (CIPIO) committee and Peoria County is currently the chair of this 5-county regional group that responds to assist with media relations and information dissemination in an emergency.
