Scam Safety and Prevention

Scam Safety and Prevention Education

Our Victim Services Coordinator, Aimee Shinall, is available to present her Learn With Peoria County: Personal Safety & Scam Prevention educational program to groups and organizations throughout Peoria County upon request. This can include church or college groups, professional organizations, or group employee trainings. Please note: due to COVID-19, programs are being held virtually until further notice. Groups will need to make arrangements with their participants/members to conduct the program using a videoconferencing program.

The Personal Safety & Scam Prevention program is available to groups of adults 18 years of age or older. During this program, Aimee will discuss a variety of different scams and fraud/identity theft activity we see throughout Peoria County. Aimee will also share preventative measures you can take to keep yourself and your loved ones safe from scamming and abusive behaviors. Questions from participants are encouraged.

For more information or to schedule a virtual program for your group, please contact our Learn With Peoria County Program Coordinator by email or phone: 309-495-4862.
