Reopen Peoria County
We look forward to the next stage of phased reopening that begins on Friday, June 26. We encourage our residents to continue going back to their favorite restaurants, stores, and salons while following the new safety protocol put forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It’s important that we continue to practice the mitigation strategies of using a face covering, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining appropriate social distancing, as prevention is still our best defense against COVID-19.

Restore HOI Website
Additionally, the Heart of Illinois Sub-region launched the Restore HOI website on May 28: www.restorehoi.com
Whether you are a business owner looking to safely reopen, or a resident looking for businesses committed to your safety, Restore HOI will help. A local coalition of public health officials, small business owners, and elected officials from eleven counties developed guidelines and a certification process for businesses to gradually reopen.
At www.restorehoi.com you’ll find local businesses that are complying with the reopening guidelines. You can also register your own business as voluntarily compliant, and you can submit questions regarding reopening your business, hosting your event, and more.
