We are encouraging people to submit permits digitally even when the courthouse is open to the public.
This will help keep the number of customers in our office as low as possible and helps promote social distancing. Mechanical permit applications can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org for submittal. Applications for mechanical permits will be processed once payment is received. We recommend mailing a check to our office for payment. To find out how much your permit cost will be, take a look at our fee schedule or email the office to confirm that your are sending a check for the correct amount. Make checks payable to Peoria County Zoning. Please make sure that the person/contractor doing the work is the person/contractor who signs the bottom of the application and indicate such by checking the appropriate box under the signature line.
If you feel you must come to the courthouse to submit your permit, please be aware that appointments will be required for all services. Face masks are also required when inside the building.
Scheduling an appointment will allow both you and our staff to help maintain better social distancing and also help you feel confident that the person you need to see will be available. Staffing levels will be impacted for several months. You may schedule an appointment by calling the office at 672-6915 from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday.
