The Peoria County Board voted Tuesday, August 28, to explore a partnership with OSF HealthCare regarding the administration of Heddington Oaks.
The county is looking at two agreements with OSF, both of which have yet to be negotiated. One is a 120-day agreement under which OSF HealthCare or one of its subsidiaries will bring in a full-time, licensed administrator to run Heddington Oaks. OSF would also perform a financial and facility performance evaluation, give regional support for administration and facility operations, and provide rounding services.
The second is a master services agreement which would allow the two sides to explore future relationships.
“I’m looking forward to our partnership with OSF HealthCare. Heddington Oaks provides important services to our community, and I believe OSF will be a good fit with our mission,” says Andrew A. Rand, Peoria County Board Chairman. “Their expertise will bring a fresh perspective to the facility’s operation.”
Heddington Oaks is Peoria County’s long-term care facility. The 214 bed facility in West Peoria specializes in long-term nursing care and therapy services. It opened in 2013 and replaced the aging Bel-Wood Nursing Home. Questions regarding Heddington Oaks should be directed to Peoria County Administration at (309) 672-6056 or email@example.com.
