Reminder to Register During Grace Period

Peoria County Clerk Steve Sonnemaker would like to remind residents who live outside the City of Peoria that if they want to vote in the November 4 General Election and have not yet registered or changed their address, they must do so at the County Clerk's Office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. They will then vote at the time they register.

Registering voters must:

1. Be a U.S. Citizen

2. Have been a resident in the precinct for at least 30 days prior to Election Day

3. Be at least 18 years old by Election Day

4. Show two forms of ID; one must show your current residence address.

The County Clerk's Office is located in Room 101 of the Peoria County Courthouse, 324 Main Street, Peoria, Illinois. Grace period hours are available on the County Clerk's website: http://www.peoriacounty.org/countyclerk/voterreg/#graceperiod. For more information, please call 672-6070.
